A splendid Tom Morgan Rodsmiths 7' 2-piece 2-tip rod for a #3 line. New, unused condition. A nice medium action, full-flexing rod with blonde color cane, and configured in a three-up node pattern with nice small nodes and mirrored tips. Superb, high-quality varnish finish, on a level matched by only 2 or 3 modern makers. Rod is wrapped dark brown or a dark maroon with tiny gold accents. Agate stripping guide with chrome snake guides and tip-tops. Bright, truncated swiss ferrules. Quilted maple matte-finished slide band reel seat with a double knurl slide band ring. The butt cap has the Tom Morgan Rodsmiths logo engraved on the bottom (pictured). Eight-sided rear cork check which matches the eight-sided rod tube. The large (12 corks) 6" grip is deeply sculpted to a hand-fitting fish-tail shape. The rod shaft is lettered with "7' #3 86/200". The tips are also lettered "86/200". The rod, when jointed, is perfectly straight. Interesting nickel silver ferrule plug is sculpted in both concave and convex scallops with three knurls and a cork plug. The ferrule plug matches the black anodized rod tube top to the same shape and has the Tom Morgan Rodsmiths logo pressed into the tube top. A high quality heavy padded rod bag in dark maroon and a maroon painted eight sided rod tube round out this rod with its very well thought out appointments. Recently profiled in
