For sale here is a Walt Carpenter "Highlander". Six feet six inches in length for a three or four weight line. Two sections and two tips. The rod is in near mint+ condition with some very minor bluing loss on the ferrules. Gently swelled butt, cigar grip, blued cap and ring over a deep mahogany (or red cedar?) spacer, transparent tan silk wraps with red edges, a few black silks at the male ferrules as well. Perfect fitting size 11/64 blued ferrules. Impregnated finish. On the medium side of medium fast dry fly action. This rod casts very smoothly and accurately with a DT3. Comes with original bag and labeled cordura tube. The rod weighs 2 5/8 oz.
