For sale here is a bamboo rod from the bench of Wayne Maca of Beaverhead Rods in Montana. 250cm in length, or 8 feet, 2 1/2 inches, for a 5wt line. Excellent plus overall condition. The rod only weighs 3 3/4 oz. due to Wayne's crafty hollow-building techniques, as well as the carbon graphite ferrule system he employs. Uplocking reel seat, agate stripping guide, oxidized guides and tip top, reverse half wells grip. You will not be disappointed! Fast action rod with the ability to lay out a LOT of line if called upon.

When it comes to persnickety fish and lots of patience a rod that can deliver the right cast is of vital importance. This is the one. It's still powerful when compared to any conventional bamboo rod, and all the while possesses a gentle yet authoritative casting feel. Being slightly over 8' adds just the right inertial load to make this a sight fishermans dream. In slower waters with less manhandling of line needed this rod "rocks". Throwing a hard upstream mend is still no problem but it's usually unnecessary, because of the prescise "lining out" and control this rod provides.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
