For sale here is a very scarce Wright & McGill Granger Premier Model 9050 -- 9' 3/2 5-6wt. The Premier was one of the highest grades of rods produced by WMG and Granger, second only to the Registered. As such, higher quality cane (from the same culm) and much more attention to detail went into making the rod. The rod is in excellent+ restored condition. All sections are full length and straight. Classic ammoniated cane that Granger rods are so well known for, complemented with brassy-golden silks. The script on the rod remains crisp and bold. Western-style grip with light soiling, free of any other defects. The patented, nickel silver, up-locking reel seat is in fine condition and operates smoothly. The ferrules are size 18/64 and 12/64, the fit is nice and tight as it should be. The rod weighs 5.80 oz. The action is quite fast, on the faster side of medium-fast, in part due to the swelled butt. This is a true western rod, capable of making accurate casts in heavy winds with large flies. It has the strength to land large fish in short order. Well suited for a 6 weight line though some may find the newer heavier 5 weight lines work well. The rod includes its original bag and original burgundy aluminum tube. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
