A John Gallas "Parabolic 93" model bamboo fly rod, 7'9", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #1606. The rod weighs 4 ounces. Mint condition. Semi full flexing action. Light flamed cane with two opposed nodes set in a spiral pattern. Excellent varnish. Brown main wraps with a dark blue edge at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. An extra edge of gold and red at the keeper and male ferrules. The stripping guide is an agate with an oxidized frame. The snake guides are oxidized black. The ferrules are Super Z style and are oxidized. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a medium cigar profile. The ring and pocket cap seat are oxidized jet black. The spacer is varnished mahogany with a wood lip acting as the rear cork check. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and a polished aluminum tube with brass fittings.
