Leon Hanson Bamboo Fly Rod 6'6" 2/2 #3

A nice Leon Hanson Model 91-3 bamboo fly rod, 6'6", 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #3 line. Serial #8805. Medium full flexing action. Used condition with some soiling to the grip and some scuffing to the reel seat spacer but clean otherwise. Light wheatstraw cane done in a randomized node pattern. Wrapped black at the grip and ferrules, light tan tipped with red for the wraps. Carbide stripper with chrome guides and tip tops. Bright slightly bronze color ferrules. 5 1/2" long grip shaped to a slim cigar profile. Dual aluminum ring slide band reel seat over a varnished wood spacer with a darker wood button to hold the rings on. The rod packs into a dark olive bag and an aluminum tube with the maker, model, and rod specs etched into the tube collar and tube top.
