A nice Leon Hanson bamboo fly rod, 6'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #3 line. Serial #8806. 2.6 ounces. Used but very good condition. All sections are straight with nice tight ferrule fits. The action is quick but fully flexing. I think you could probably fish a #4 on this rod as well. The cane is an oven tempered light chestnut with a spiral-ish pattern to the nodes. The wraps are pale yellow with brown edges and black at the keeper and ferrules, and appear to be epoxy coated. The rod finish is relatively minimal with a few tiny flecks of aluminum in trapped in the finish on the butt section. The stripper is carbide and the snake guides and tip tops are chrome. The swiss ferrules are polished bright. The grip is 5 1/2" long and shaped to a half wells. The seat is a double ring slide band over a very nice piece of walnut. A delrin cap keeps the rings on. The rod bag is an olive gray color and the rod tube is aluminum.
