A nice RK Bolt bamboo fly rod, 8'9", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #8 line. Serial #0806. The rod weighs 4.6 ounces on my scale. Medium, bordering on medium-slow, full flexing action. Lightly used, well-cared-for condition, with some soiling to the grip and reel foot impressions on the spacer. Medium wheatstraw colored cane done in a two-opposed node configuration. Nice varnish. The rod is wrapped in light brown/yellow combination with the ferrules overwrapped as well. The rod sports a hook keeper and a carbide stripper, with chrome snakes and tip tops. The female ferrule has Bob's makers mark stamped on the welt and comes with knurled brass-and-cork ferrule plug. The 6 1/2" grip is shaped to a full wells profile, though with taper at the top 1/2" where it comes down to the cane. The heel of the grip has a hidden pocket cap. The reel seat is an aluminum uplocking screwlock over a mortised and varnished wood spacer. The ring has Bob's makers mark stamped on it. The rod packs into an orange bag and an aluminum tube with gold-anodized aluminum fittings as well as the data sticker affixed to the outside.
