Dingley Fly Reel 3 1/2" - Perfect Style

For sale here is a fine Dingley 3 1/2" Perfect style fly reel. Stamped D2, 2 on the winding plate and foot and two dots on the cog. This excellent condition reel is RHW and comes with a nice and strong dual pawl check system from the 1930's. Copper strap over tensioner adds a very nice touch to this reel. Tensioner works perfectly. No line guide or retailer stamp on this one. Gear teeth and pawl still very sharp. Un-filed original smooth brass reel foot with two screws fitting into the flat pillar. Foot is bent but can be bent into proper position by a qualified reel repair mechanic. Crazed xylonite handle that spins freely. Very nice and original nickel silver spool screw. The reel has no wobble and I rate the spindle fit a 9.5 out of 10. No cracks/chips or prior repairs. Majority of original leading remaining. Reel weighs 8.9 oz and the foot is 2.9 inches long.
