For sale here is a super nice Dingley 3 1/4" caged spool fly reel. This highly sought after brass pin caged reel has a fixed check with caliper spring. Stamped "D4" inside with a 4 stamped on the foot as well. The reel has a slight right hand retrieve bias but could also be fished as a lefty. Correct original and unmolested smooth brass foot, measuring 2 1/2" in length. No line grooves to the pillars. There are no cracks or dings. Original ivorine handle spins freely. No significant end play or wobble. The spool face is stamped "J.S. Sharpe Maker Aberdeen". 98% of the original dark leaded finish remains. A stellar example!
