For sale here is a 1920's vintage 3 1/4" Walter Dingley-made fly reel, made for retailer J Bernard & Sons, and so stamped on the frame. Early fixed caliper check, which is nicely blued and adequately strong. Stamped D3 inside. Correct original and un-filed smooth brass foot with a 3 stamp as well. Very, very minor line grooves on frame by stripping pillar. Original ivorine handle spins freely. Minor spool/spindle play. As with most leaded Dingleys, the majority of the original leading remains. A fine fishable example, loaded with a like-new Cortland Sylk line.
