For sale here is a 9' 2/2 E.C. Powell bamboo rod made in the mid to late 1940's. A or B-taper rod. It's referred to a "dry fly" rod in the included correspondence. Casts a five weight line very well. The rod weighs 4 1/4 oz. Ferrules are 15/64, tips tops 5/64. Obviously the rod has been well used but remains full length and relatively straight. Original bag and tube. Included with the sale is a letter from 1960 between the owner and Tony Maslan.
