An FE Thomas Dirigo model bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 1-tip, and built for a #5 line. 4.3 ounces. Medium fast action. Original used condition with some cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrule wraps and some minor varnish chips. Medium tan cane color with gold main wraps and red edges at the keeper and male ferrules. Orange colored agate stripper and reverse twist snake guides. The male step ferrules are one piece drawn rather than soldered. The 6" long grip tapers to a slim cigar at the keeper and has plenty of hand soiling. The seat is a downlocking aluminum screwlock with a nickel silver pocket cap. The spacer appears to be black bakelite. The stamp reads "Dirigo, FE Thomas, Bangor Me" with no serial number. The rod packs into a cloth bag and aluminum tube.
