An FE Thomas Special Browntone bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 or #7 line. Serial H 125. The rod weighs 4.4 ounces on my scale. Mint original condition. Fast DF action. Lightly flamed cane with brown main wraps and red edges at the keeper and male ferrule. Signature wraps at the swell and male ferrules. Perfection stripper and bronze reverse twist snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized jet black as well as the keeper and the slide band ring and the pocket cap. The varnish is in perfect condition. The rod is perfectly straight and the ferrules are tight. The grip is 7" long and shaped to a half wells profile. The reel seat is all cork. The rod packs into a green cloth bag with the FE Thomas hang tag and aluminum tube with FE Thomas brass fittings.
