For sale here is a F.E. Thomas Special bamboo rod made in 1916. 8' 3/2 for a 5wt line. All sections are full length. The rod appears to be original with no repairs. The grip is soiled but not ridged. Powerful medium action. The rod weighs 4.7 oz. 11/64 and 16/64 ferrules with a good fit. "6" on end of butt cap. English tempered bronzed steel snake guides, agate stripping guide, golden silk windings with intermediates throughout the rod, hook-keeper, tapered cigar grip, German silver reel seat, ring and pocketed butt cap stamped FE Thomas Special Bangor, ME. Comes with original bag and tube.
