For sale here is a 9’ 3/2 F.E. Thomas Special from 1914. 4 3/4 oz. Size 11/64 and 17/64 ferrules with a pleasing fit. Feels like it could throw a five or six weight line. Red wraps including intermediates, withblack tipping at guide, ferrule wraps, and hook keeper. Cigar grip, all cork reel seat with cap and slide band. Red agate stripping guide. The rod comes with its original rod bag and a replacement tube without a cap. The rod may have been partially restored at some point in its life (varnish and silk wraps perhaps), but all of the hardware seems true to when the rod was made. All sections are full length with no apparent repairs. The tips have slight sets. Medium slow action. A fantastic Thomas rod from over 100 years ago!
