For sale here is a FE Thomas Special bamboo rod -- 8'6" 3/2 for a six or seven weight line. Serial No. F97 made in 1957. Hardy-style locking seat, Payne style grip, dark brown silks that contrast beautifully against the cane. The rod was initially sold by Abercrombie & Fitch. Weight 5.45 oz. Ferrules are size 17/64 and 11/64 with an excellent fit. Medium action. The rod is in excellent restored condition. Jim Schaaf completed the restoration with original hardware. All sections are full length and relatively straight. No repairs are evident. Comes with a Thomas tube and the bag could be a Thomas as well.
