Gary Howells Fly Rod 8’ 2/2 #5

A very nice Gary Howells fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, built for a #5 line. 3.8 ounces. Medium to slowish action. Serial #5128. Very light use with the faint hint of cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrules and the varnish on the chrome guides is worn at the inner part of the guide, but that's about it. Brown wraps, yellow edges, extra band of maroon and yellow at the keeper. The ferrule fits are good and all sections are straight. The varnish is superbly done, first class work, and is in excellent condition. The 6" long cork grip is styled to a western profile with a hidden pocket cap. The reel seat is an aluminum uplocking style and the spacer is perfectly varnished zebra wood. Packs into a maroon cloth bag and aluminum rod tube with the Howells data sticker 100% intact.
