For sale here is a Hardy JJH "Triumph" 9' 5-6wt 3/2 bamboo fly rod made in 1956. Serial no. H6147. The rod is in excellent restored condition. All sections are full length. The tip sections are 3/4" down, made that way. There is a slight downward fishing set in one of the tips.
The rod features blonde straw colored cane with black wraps and burgundy tipping. The rod also features full intermediates in a dark bronzy/clay color. Agate stripping guide and tip-tops. Oxidized nickel silver ferrules are size 17/64 and 13/64. Includes original turned wood ferrule plugs. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. The full wells grip is soiled but free of ridging or hook gouges. Bright aluminum cap and ring reel seat with a cork spacer. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast and with a good deal of backbone. The rod weighs 5.30 oz. Includes original bag with label and tube.
