For sale here is a Hardy Bros. Palakona "The Featherweight" 9' 5-6wt 2/1 bamboo fly rod. The rod is in excellent original condition. Blonde, straw colored cane with emerald green wraps. The rod also features full intermediates in a lighter lime green color. Clear agate stripping guide and tip-top. Full wells grip is soiled but free of ridging and hook gouges. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat with a handsome bakelite spacer. The oxidized ferrules are size 15/64, the fit is very good. Includes original turned wood ferrule plug. The rod weighs 5.20 oz. The action is on the medium side of medium fast. The rod is versatile but would excel with wet flies. Includes original bag with pocket for the ferrule plug and a replacement tube. The tube does not have a cap and the bottom cap is a makeshift one.
