A rare Hardy Perfect with a highly coveted 1912 check, 3 1/8" diameter and set up for the typical RHW. All original and correct. There are some chips to the frame edge in a few places though it is still fine structurally, and the spool face also shows some mottling and mild discoloration. The ivorine handle also has some slight travel to it, but is perfectly serviceable. Other than that this reel has some ordinary cosmetic wear but is in very good shape, with a full length foot and a smooth satisfying click. Best of all the red agate lineguard is in excellent shape, one of the prettiest Hardy ever made (in my opinion). The tensioner works nicely and there is no wobble to the spool. These 1912 check reels are exceptionally hard to find. The reel packs into a leather block style case.
