A HL Leonard Duracane fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, built for a #6 line. Serial # 3284. Weighs 4.2 ounces. Medium action. 1976 manufacture date. Fair used condition with soiling to the grip and some scratches in the cane on the butt section. There is some wear to the hardware oxidation and one tip has a clear wrap above the third guide from the ferrule and the other tip has a damaged guide at the bottom with a crude re-wrap at that guide. The ferrule fits are good and the rod is straight - it would make an excellent "fisher". Impregnated cane in a three up node pattern construction. The wraps are brown edged in black with an extra wrap of brown and black at the keeper and male ferrules. Ceramic stripper and snake guides. The snakes show a bit of wear but would not need replacing for a good while. The grip is a blunt cigar, 6" long. The reel seat is a black anodized aluminum downlocking screw lock with an oxidized nickel silver pocket cap. The stamp on the pocket cap reads "HLL, HL Leonard Rod Co, Makers". The rod comes with the original brown poplin bag with stiffener and a brushed aluminum tube with brass top and bottom.
