For sale here is an original and mint condition Leonard Hunt Model 40-6 bamboo rod -- 8 feet 2/2 for a 6 weight line. This rod comes from the end of Tom Maxwell's tenure at the Leonard Rod Co. Serial number 81166. The plastic wrapping is still on the grip. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful classic post-fire Leonard Hunt model with garnet wraps and three windaways at the keeper and ferrules. Beautiful blood red agate stripping guide. Bright up-locking reel seat over a stunning tiger maple spacer, complete with acorn cap. Darkly oxidized ferrules, guides and tip tops. Includes original tan bag and original aluminum tube with brass fittings. The rod weighs 4.75 oz.
