A nice Jim Reams bamboo fly rod, 8'3", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Hollow built construction. Serial #219-3-09. The rod weighs 3.06 ounces. The rod hasn't seen a whole lot of use. The grip is clean, there are some cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrule wraps, and a bit of brassing to the guides. Medium semi-parabolic action. Both tips have a very mild set out toward the end, though nothing problematic. Light blonde cane done in a two opposed spiral node pattern. Very nice varnish. The main wraps are brown with dark brown small edges. Truncated and oxidized Super Z style ferrules. The grip is composed of 1/4" corks and is 6" in length, shaped to a modified full wells grip. The slide band seat is uplockingand is a lovely smokey veined stabilized walnut. The ring and bottom plate are oxidized nickel silver. The rod packs into an eggshell color cloth bag and an aluminum tube with brass hardware and the Reams data sticker affixed to it.
