For sale here is a Jim Reams hollowbuilt bamboo rod -- 7'6" with two sections and two tips for a 4 or 5 weight line. Serial no. 117-8-03. The rod is in excellent condition having been fished sparingly. All sections are full length and straight. Rust colored wraps with oxblood tipping. Lightly blued guides and ferrules. The tips are numbered one and two for convenience. Full wells grip 6" in length with light soiling. Blued nickel silver up-locking sliding band reel seat over a mortised burl wood spacer. The blued nickel silver butt cap shows some very light wear at the rim. The Swiss-style nickel silver ferrules are size 12/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 3.60 oz. The rod has a very smooth dry-fly action on the faster side of medium-fast. Plenty of power from the butt with thin tips to protect fine tippets. Includes the original bag and tube with brass fittings and label. The tube is also housed in a fine canvas bag.
