For sale here is a Dickerson 8012 taper bamboo rod built by Jim Schaaf, previous owner of the Dickerson rodmaking equipment and co-author with Dr. Gerald Stein of the Dickerson book. The book lists only two original Dickerson 8012's in the Dickerson ledger and describes it as being "light and supple offering delightful liveliness". The lightest of the 8' series, "casts exceptionally well, laying out a three-weight line without a wrinkle". This mint condition rod is hollowbuilt and weighs 3.15 oz. Classic 3x3 Dickerson node pattern. The ferrule fit is great. Oxidized hardware. Yellow/gold silk windings with black edges. Comes with original bag, labeled tube and canvas bag. This rod comes directly from the personal collection of Dr. Gerald Stein.
