For sale here is John Pickard's rendition of the Dickerson 8014 Guide bamboo rod. Made with pre-embargo cane - 8'0" 2/2 for a 6 weight line. The rod is in excellent plus condition. All sections are full length and straight. Straw colored cane with transparent caramel wraps and black tipping. Blued guides and ferrules. Bronzed loop hook keeper. Bright hexagonal nickel silver winding check. Reverse half wells grip with slight soiling. Bright aluminum down-locking reel seat with burl walnut spacer. Nickel silver butt cap. The rod has a powerful dry-fly action on the fast side of medium-fast with thin enough tips for tippet protection and delicate landings. A great late summer hopper rod or boat rod. The rod weighs 4.95 oz. Ferrules are 14/64 and the fit is perfect. Comes with original bag and tube with brass fittings. A great opportunity to land one of John's fine rods. You will not be disappointed!
