For sale here is a very scarce Leonard Bimetal fly reel made by Julius Vom Hofe. Clearly marked "H.L. Leonard - Pat. No 191813". Constructed with a bronze frame, nickel silver foot, handle arm, and aluminum spool. The pillar to pillar diameter is 2.58" (without pillars it is 2.22"). The spool width is 1". This is the third and final version of the classic Leonard bimetal trout reel. Oversized hard rubber handle grasp. Screw-off rear bearing cap. Excellent overall condition. The riveted click is strong and loud. The foot is full length. All in all, this a very desirable example of the classic Leonard bimetal reel!
