For sale here is a nice example of a Julius Vom Hofe Size 3 fly reel in excellent original condition. Made for Abbey & Imbrie (stamp visible on headplate). German silver foot is full length but has a slight kink in it. Nicely incised ring. Half crank arm appears to be NS and the hard rubber grasp is also nicely incised. Bolstered pillars appear to be german silver. Spool could also be german silver. Bronze arbor/spindle. High quality click unlike the later clicks in the JVH reels. Screws in very good condition. Would clean up really nicely. No cracks in the hard rubber. Can be fished right of left hand retrieve with strong enough tension for trout. All screws are in good condition.
