For sale here is a wonderful example of a Julius Vom Hofe raised pillar trout fly reel. German silver and ebonite construction. Size 3. Mechanically the reel is in excellent condition. No cracks exist in the hard rubber. The stamping on the backplate is visible. The foot is a bit kinked on one end but can be put back straight by a competent reel mechanic. It fits the reel seats on the few rods I tested it on. A super nice example of one of my favorite reels!
