For sale here is an original William Mills & Son "Fairy" Raised Pillar / Hard Rubber Fly Reel. Made by Julius Vom Hofe. Specifically made for use with the Leonard Baby Catskill fly rods, this 2 1/4" diameter (pillar to pillar) reel features an aluminum spool and nickel silver fittings. The tiny crank handle has a hard rubber grasp and the foot is full length and straight. The reel overall is in excellent+ condition, inside and outside. Stamped very legibly "William Mills & Son N.Y." on headplate. One very tiny chip to the tailplate rim (see photo #6).

There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.
