A nice Mike Clark (South Creek Limited) bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #5 line. Serial #201227. The rod weighs 5.4 ounces on my scale. Medium action. Very light use, bordering on lawn cast only. One tip has the start of a cosmetic casting crack on the ferrule wraps (quite common) and could use a tiny bit of straightening, but that's about it. Light flame cane done in a spiral node pattern. Brown wraps with an agate stripper and black snake guides. The oxidized swiss ferrules fit well. The grip is a generous 7" long and made of 1/4" corks, and shaped to blunt-nose Western profile with a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock. The mortised spacer is flame walnut with a small bit of filler here and there. The slide is stamped "South Creek Ltd, Maker, Lyons, Colorado". The rod packs into a blue cloth bag and black crackle painted tube with brass hardware and Mike's data sticker affixed to it.
