A nice Mike Clark (South Creek Limited) bamboo fly rod, 7', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #200316. "South Creek Ltd", the serial number, and "Michael D. Clark maker" are inked on successive flats above the grip. Medium fast full flexing action. Medium honey color cane done in a spiral node pattern. Excellent used condition with moderate grip soiling and some wear to the inside of the guides. Agate stripper. Wrapped dark hunter green with red tipping throughout and three red signature wraps just off the front cork check wraps. Bright ferrules which fit together nicely and come with aluminum-and-cork ferrule plugs. Chrome guides and tip top. 5 3/4" grip done in a full wells profile. Slide band reel seat hardware, also bright, with a rope knurl at the edges. The spacer is a flatted and varnish wood burl (there is a tiny crack at the edge of the flat that appears to have been glued, and I suspect it was done so originally and not after it had left the shop). The initials "JCA" are engraved in a flowing script on the bottom of the butt cap. The rod packs into a blue cloth rod bag and a leather rod tube which has brass a medallion attached at the midway point with the original owner's name engraved on it.
