A Walton Powell bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #24-889. The rod weighs 4 ounces. Medium action. The rod has seen modest use, with light grip soiling, and just the very start of casting crack at the ferrule wraps. The rod is nice and straight. Blonde color cane with two opposed spiral node spacing. Varnished shafts. The wraps are maroon. The stripper is ceramic in a shock ring, and the snake guides are chrome as well as the tip tops. Polished nickel silver step ferrules. The grip is 6" long shaped to a modified full wells profile. The reel seat is an aluminum gold anodized up-locking screwlock with a Pakka wood spacer. The cloth bag is green and the aluminum tube is painted brown cracked glass with a brass collar and top. I've seen very few Walt Powell rods in this length and line weight.
