An Orvis Model "99" bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #40939 and weighs 4.2 ounces. Fair condition. The wraps could use some re-varnish and one tip is a later replacement. Dark oven temper cane done in a three up node pattern. Wrapped red with black snake guides. The ferrules are oxidized and swiss style. The rod is straight and very usable. The grip is well soiled and 6" long, turned to a slim cigar profile. The reel seat is a downlocking screwlock of aluminum with a walnut insert and aluminum pocket cap. Yellow cloth bag and standard aluminum tube.
