A nice Orvis Battenkill fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip and built for a #6. 4 ounces. Mint condition. Medium slow action (I might prefer it with a #5). Lighter color cane temper than the older Orvis rods. Three up node pattern configuration. Brown wraps. The step ferrules are oxidized. Carbide stripper and chrome snake guides and tip tops. The grip is 6 1/2" long with a slight cigar profile and a large blunt front. The reel seat is a downlocking screwlock of aluminum with an aluminum pocket cap. The insert is FAS walnut. The rod sections are glued with resorcinol leaving a telltale black seam. The rod is new from the factory. It comes packed in a tan cloth bag and a gray hardcoat anodized aluminum tube with a darker gray collar and top with the rod particulars engraved into the top. The Orvis data sticker is affixed to the tube.
