An Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #77540. The rod weighs 4.2 ounces on my scale. Good used condition. There is some soiling to the grip and a hook dig on the corner of one tip. Three up node pattern construction. Resorcinol glue. Brown main wraps with no edges. There are some cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrule wraps. The action is medium slow. Carbide stripper and chrome snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized. The grip is 6 1/2" long and shaped to a medium cigar profile. The seat is an aluminum downlocking screwlock with a pocket cap and varnished walnut insert. The rod packs into a maroon bag and a gray frost coated aluminum tube with 95% of the original Orvis data sticker intact.
