A nice Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #7 line. Good used condition with moderate grip soiling and some cosmetic casting cracks in the ferrule wraps, but nice overall with just a little normal wear that you'd expect from light use. Serial #86092 built in 1983. Listed weight of 4 3/8 ounces. The rod is straight and the ferrule fits are nice and tight. Medium action. Impregnated bamboo done in the three up node pattern. Wrapped in a medium honey color with chrome guides and tip tops. The rod has a keeper and carbide stripping guide. Oxidized ferrules. 6 1/2" grip shaped to a snub nose blunt cigar profile, and the grip has moderate soiling that appears to have been cleaned in places. Downlocking aluminum screwlock reel seat. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and the original tube with the Orvis data a sticker affixed to it.
