An Orvis Model 99 bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 1-tip, and built for a #7 or #8 line. Serial 44350. Slow action. Fair to poor condition with some knocks and hooks digs on the cane but nothing looks significant. Three up node pattern with a dark oven tempered cane. Dark snake guides with red wraps. The step ferrules are oxidized. A slight bend off at the ferrules. The cigar grip is 6 1/2" long and fairly well soiled. The reel seat is a downlocking aluminum screwlock with a walnut spacer. The rod bag is tan and the rod comes with the original Orvis tube with the data sticker.
