For sale here is an impregnated Orvis Wes Jordan 8'6" 2/2 8wt bamboo rod. Serial #51935 made in 1968. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight.

The rod features beautiful darkly tempered cane often seen on Orvis rods from this era. Chestnut colored wraps. The script remains clean and bold. The cigar grip is 6 3/4" in length with a thumb and palm indentation. The cork is only mildly soiled. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a handsome walnut spacer. The original owner's name is stamped on the bottom of the butt cap and written on one flat of the rod. The blued ferrules are size 15/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 5.35 oz. The rod is marked as a 9 weight though with most Orvis rods a line size down is best. Some may even like it with a 7 weight line. The action is medium-fast. Includes original bag and tube with the blue and gold foil label.
