For sale here is an E.F. Payne Model 208 9′ 3/2 light dry fly bamboo rod for a #6 line. Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch. The rod is in excellent restored condition (or wraps have just faded and is orig.) with some light overall wear. All sections are full length with slight sets in the mid and one of the tips.
The wraps are chestnut brown with red tipping though the shades are so similar it is hard to distinguish. The winding check and male ferrules are tipped in red, gold, and purple though again the red and purple are difficult to distinguish from one another. (might be original and has faded considerably) Oxidized guides and hardware. Cigar grip 5 7/8" in length with moderate soiling. Cap and ring reel seat over a spanish cedar spacer. There is light wear to the spacer. The butt cap reads, "SOLD BY ABERCROMBIE & FITCH NEW YORK".
The ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 4.90 oz. Includes a replacement bag and original tube with brass fittings. Though this rod has a few issues it is still a wonderful Payne deserving a good home.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
