For sale here is a Payne Model 100 bamboo rod in excellent condition. The rod weighs 3 1/4 oz. with cap and ring reel seat over a Spanish cedar spacer. 7 1/2' 2/2, best with a DT4. The reel seat bears the “Payne” trademark stamp as well as the Sold by Abercrombie and Fitch stamp. Red agate stripping guide. The Model 100 is one of Payne’s most popular tapers, with a more medium action as compared to the slightly heavier Model 101 which was a faster action rod. All sections are full length and straight. The size 12/64 ferrule fit is perfect. Complete with original bag and tube. Steve Blake rewrapped the hook-keeper silks but it's difficult to notice.
