For sale here is a Payne Model 100H bamboo rod in excellent original condition. 7 1/2 feet, 2/2 for a 5 weight line (some like it with a DT4). The rod weighs 3 5/8 oz. Medium fast dry fly action. Sold by Abercrombie and Fitch. The wraps are the Payne-typical brown silk tipped with gold. Ferrules are size 12/64. Cap and band reel seat over cork. The grip has a 1/2 inch gouge as shown in the first photo. Typical exquisitely-executed cane work. The varnish remains in excellent condition with some minor use marks. All sections are full length and straight with no repairs. Comes with the original poplin bag with hang tag and brass-capped aluminum tube.

This is one of the finest casting Payne rods that has come through my hands!
