For sale here is a Payne Model 204 bamboo rod -- 8'6" 3/2 5 wt. weighing 4.60 oz. Excellent refinished condition. All sections are full length and straight. The rod has likely been rewrapped and revarnished (dipped). The black tipping is missing from the guide wraps. Gradually swelled butt. Red agate stripping guide. The cigar grip is moderately soiled and lightly ridged. Cap and ring reel seat over a wood spacer. The butt cap reads, " Sold by H&D Folsom Arms Co. New York". The bluing is mostly worn on the cap and ring. The ferrules are size 16/64 and 10/64 with an excellent fit. The action is a smooth medium-fast. No repairs to the cane and none needed. Includes original bag and tube. There is a tear at the bottom of the butt section of the bag, this could easily be sewn up.
An excellent Payne rod at a great price due to the refinish.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
