A nice RD Taylor fly rod, 8'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #37-5-269. Weighs 4.9 ounces. Medium to medium slow action. Very light use. Just a hint of grip soiling and a bit of brassing to the inner part of the guides. Flamed cane in a two opposed node pattern. Excellent varnish with a perfection stripper and black snake guides. Very light brown main wraps with red edges and an extra edge of yellow and black at the keeper and male ferrules. The step ferrules retain 100% of their oxidation. The grip is a 6" medium cigar. The seat is a slide band and cap with "R.D. Taylor, Maker" stamp and Bob's unique hand-turned hardware. The smoothly varnished and flatted wood spacer is a walnut with smokey bands. The rod comes in a tan cloth bag and a brushed aluminum tube with brass fittings.
