An excellent RD Taylor fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 line. Serial #25-4-133. Medium action. Appears lawn cast only. The grip and seat are spotless with the faintest spot of brassing to the guides being the only sign of use. Flamed cane in 2 opposed node pattern. Very good varnish. Light tan wraps with red edges, an extra band of black at the keeper and male ferrules. Carbide stripper and black snake guides. Oxidized hand-turned step ferrules. The 11 cork 5 1/2" medium cigar grip is clean as a whistle. Nicely varnished walnut cap and ring seat. The hand-turned cap and ring hardware is a joy to look at. The oxidized cap is stamped "R.D. Taylor, Maker" in the cartouche. Packed in a tan colored cloth bag and brushed aluminum tube with brass bottom, collar, and top. About as nice a Taylor rod as you will find anywhere.
