For sale here is a Jerry Kustich (of R.L. Winston and Sweetgrass fame) Quad 7'9" 4-5wt bamboo fly rod made for my friend and highly acclaimed artist, Michael Simon. Two sections with two tips. The rod is in excellent plus original condition. Honey colored silks that extend up the female ferrule and dark brown tipping at the ferrules, tip-top, winding check and signature wrap. All sections are full length and straight. Agate stripping guide. Wells grip is lightly soiled. Nickel silver sliding band reel seat with wood spacer. The ferrule fit is excellent. The rod has a medium-fast dry fly action well suited for a DT4 or a WF5. Serial number 2002-032. Ferrule size 13/64. The rod weighs 3.55 oz and comes with original Winston bag and unlabeled brown powder coated tube.
Also included in the sale is a signed copy of Kustich's fine book, "At the River's Edge" (hardcover) as well as a signed provenance card from Michael Simon.
