A very nice RL Winston Haig Brown "Greased Liner" Commemorative bamboo fly rod, 9', 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #7 or #8 line. Serial 3104 and number 5 of the 27 of these words that were built. 5.9 ounces. Mint, unfished condition. At one point the agate in the second stripping guide had come loose and was so the guide was replaced at the Winston factory. Medium fast action. Medium wheat straw temper cane done in a three up node pattern. Apricot main wraps with maroon edges at the keeper and male ferrules. Agate stripper. Superb varnish. The grip is 7" long and turned to a full wells with a hidden pocket cap. Uplocking screwlock done in nickel silver. There is a 1" long walnut button at the bottom which has an engraved plaque with the Haig Brown serial number. The Winston logo rod bag packs into a leather rod tube.
