For sale here is a San Francisco / Doug Merrick era R.L. Winston bamboo rod - 8 feet, 2/1 marked 3 3/4 oz. Made for a 4 or 5 weight line. Serial no. 9442. Excellent original condition overall. Down-locking bakelite reel seat in fine shape. The tip has a very slight sweep to the right. Original SF-labeled tube with a replacement bag. The ferrule is 14/64. The action of the rod is authoritative and medium fast. It's hard to not keep this one, but alas......
