For sale here is a R.L. Winston 8' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 3257. Made in 1997 during the Morgan/Brackett era. The rod is in excellent++ condition. All sections are full length and straight.

Honey wraps and oxblood tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Blued guides. Agate stripper. Ring hook-keeper. Handsome bamboo winding check. The fell wells grip measures 6 1/2" in length with only mild soiling. Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat over a highly figured wood spacer. The ferrule fit is perfect. Bamboo ferrule plug included. The rod weighs 4.10 oz. The action is a wonderfully smooth medium-fast. Includes a beautiful Arne Mason leather case as well as the original embroidered R.L. Winston bag.
